Prof. Arpan Kumar Kar is a Professor of Information Systems at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India. He holds the AS Gupta Endowed Chair Professorship in data and decision science. Within IIT Delhi, along with the Department of Management Studies, he holds a joint appointment in the Yardi School of Artificial Intelligence. He chairs Corporate Affairs and is a member of the Advisory Committee for the Overall Curriculum Development Cell.
His research and teaching interests are in the domain of adoption, usage, user experience, governance and impacts of emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, digital platforms, social media, mobile apps, metaverse and blockchain on individuals, groups and society. He is the recipient of the Excellence in Teaching Award by the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, and has supervised over 14 doctoral scholars and over 75 masters’ dissertations.
Prof. Kar has received over 20 national and international awards from reputed organizations. He has authored over 250 peer reviewed publications and edited 15 research books. He has published over 80 articles and has authored over 90 papers in established conferences, receiving eight best paper awards. Prof. Kar is consistently listed among the top 5000 researchers globally across disciplines and has been ranked as a leading researcher in India.
Programme Sample Certificate
Participants who score at least 40% in the evaluation components and maintain a minimum of 40% attendance in both lectures and tutorials will be awarded a completion certificate. Participants who are unable to score 40% in the evaluation components will be eligible for a participation certificate if their attendance is above 40% in both lectures and tutorials.
We encourage you to attend all the live sessions and make the best out of these interactive learning experiences. Post-session video recordings will be made available until the course duration.

Refund Policy
Candidates can withdraw within 15 days from the programme start date. A total of 80% of the total fee received will be refunded. However, the applicable tax amount paid will not be refunded on the paid amount.
Candidates withdrawing after 15 days from the start of the programme session will not be eligible for any refund.
If you wish to withdraw from the programme, you must email cepaccounts@admin.iitd.ac.in and iitd.execed@emeritus.org, stating your intent to withdraw. The refund, if applicable, will be processed within 30 working days from the date of receiving the withdrawal request.
