Professor Abhijit Majumdar

Prof. Abhijit Majumdar is currently holding the position of R. Jaikumar Chair Professor for Operations Management in Textile and fibre Engineering department at Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, India (IIT Delhi).

He is a Visiting Professor at the School of Business, Education & Law at the University of Huddersfield, UK and an adjunct professor to Faculty of Finance and Banking of Ton Duc Thang University, Vietnam. He has 27 years of experience in academia and 2 years in industry. His research area includes multi-criteria decision making, supply chain management, risk management and resilience, sustainability and life cycle assessment.

He has authored two textbooks and edited five books. He has published 195 research papers in peer-reviewed journals, which have been cited more than 11,000 times. He is an area editor of Operations Management Research and an associate editor of International Journal of Logistics Management.

He is the recipient of the Eminent Engineer Award of Institution of Engineers, India (2023), Best Industry Relevant Ph.D. and Master's Project Supervision Award, IIT Delhi (2023, 2019); Gandhain Young Technology Innovation (GYTI) Award (2016 and 2021); Teaching Excellence Award of IIT Delhi (2015) and Outstanding Young Faculty Fellowship, IIT Delhi (2009–2014).

Prof. Surya Prakash Singh is a Dhananjaya Chair Professor and Ex-Head in the Department of Management Studies (DMS), Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD), India. He also served as Chairperson, Operations & Supply Chain group at DMS, IIT Delhi. He holds a Ph.D. from IIT Kanpur. He is also a postdoctoral fellow from NUS-MIT alliance, Singapore. He has been also a visiting professor/ fellow at China; Denmark; France; and UK. Recently, he awarded fellowship by the Otto Monsted foundation, Denmark for his work. He works in the area of Operations & Supply Chain and published papers in leading international journals of repute with h-index of 51 and total citation more than 10000. Prof. Singh also carried out projects and consultancies at domestic and international level for private/ public entities. Prof. Singh also authored a text book on Production & Operations Management published by Vikas Publishing House, New Delhi

Professor Smita Kashiramka

Prof. Smita Kashiramka is a Professor in Finance at the Department of Management Studies, IIT Delhi. She holds a Ph.D. in Mergers and Acquisitions from BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus. She has over two decades of academic and research experience. Her areas of interest include Financial Institutions and Markets, Banking, Corporate Finance, and Mergers & Acquisitions. She has been invited for guest lectures by several eminent institutions, including IIFT, New Delhi, IIM Raipur, and IIT Jammu, to name a few. She has also conducted training programmes for national and international participants from both the government and private sectors. She has published papers in several international and national journals of repute, including those listed in the Australian Business Deans Council list, Scopus, and ABS Journal Quality list. She has also presented several papers at international peer-reviewed conferences.

Prof. Smita has worked on several research projects funded by organizations of international and national repute including the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, USA, the Ministry of Textiles, the Ministry of Human Resource Development, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India. She has also organized and conducted training programmes for international participants as well as government institutions including Tshwane University of Technology, Pretoria, South Africa, the Airports Authority of India, Hindustan Zinc Ltd., etc.

Prof. Sushil is Abdulaziz Alsagar Chair Professor (Professor of Strategic, Flexible Systems and Technology Management) and Chair, Strategic Management Group, Department of Management Studies, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. He has served as Deputy Director (Operations) and Dean (Faculty) at IIT Delhi. He has served as Visiting Professor and delivered seminars in many leading universities, such as Kyoto University, Tokyo, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN, Stevens Institute of Technology, NJ, University of Lethbridge, Alberta, Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, Paris, among others. He is an active researcher and has supervised more than 60 doctoral dissertations. He has twenty books to his credit in the areas of Flexibility, Strategy, Systems Thinking, and Technology Management and over 300 papers in various refereed journals and conferences. He is the Founder Editor-in-chief of Global Journal of Flexible Systems Management and serving on the Editorial Boards of leading international journals. He is the Editor of Book Series on Flexible Systems Management published by Springer.

Refund Policy

  • Candidates can withdraw within 15 days from the programme start date. A total of 80% of the total fee received will be refunded. However, the applicable tax amount paid will not be refunded on the paid amount.

  • Candidates withdrawing after 15 days from the start of the programme session will not be eligible for any refund.

  • If you wish to withdraw from the programme, you must email cepaccounts@admin.iitd.ac.in and crm.supportid@jaro.in, stating your intent to withdraw. The refund, if applicable, will be processed within 30 working days from the date of receiving the withdrawal request

The Executive Certificate Programme in Managerial Decision Making and Analytics is a six-month programme offered through synchronous, live online learning. The programme includes 60 learning hours comprising live sessions, case studies, immersions and a capstone project.

It should be "Graduates from any discipline are eligible to apply". Admission is based on academic and professional background. Programme coordinators will shortlist profiles, and one-on-one interviews may be scheduled if required.

The programme covers managerial decision-making, statistical thinking, AI and ML for decision support, multi-criteria decision making, GenAI for decision making, and decision applications across People & Talent, Finance, Marketing, Operations & Supply Chain, Technology and Innovation.

The programme is designed to develop decision-making capabilities at the intersection of data science and business without requiring a formal analytics background. It also covers the application of statistical and AI-assisted tools without writing code.

Participants learn through live sessions, case-based learning, simulations, analytics labs, software demonstrations and peer cohort discussions. The programme also includes assignments, a Business Decision Project and a Capstone Project.

Yes. Participants may have the opportunity to attend a 2-day campus immersion. It is optional, based on participant willingness, and subject to participant count and faculty availability. Travel and stay expenses will be borne by participants.

Participants who meet the evaluation criteria with grades above 50% and satisfy the requisite attendance criteria will receive a Certification of Completion – Executive Certificate Programme in Managerial Decision Making and Analytics, issued as an e-certificate by CEP, IIT Delhi.
